Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to confirm and approve an Act,
passed January session, 1868, chapter 353, entitled "An Act
to authorize the Commissioners of Howard county to sub-
scribe to the capital stock of Turnpike Roads in said county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the Coun-
ty Commissioners of Wicomico county to levy a sum of money
to pay the expense of legal proceedings about to be instituted
for the recovery of the money necessary for the erection of a
Court House and Jail for said county, according to the tenor
and condition of a certain bond heretofore executed by cer-
tain residents of said county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to prevent fishing in Antietam
creek and its tributaries, from the Pennsylvania line to its
mouth,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

On motion of Mr. Colton,

At 3 1/4- o'clock P. M., the House adjourned until to-morrow
morning at 11 o'clock.

TUESDAY, March 8, 1870.

The House met and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Henderson.
