Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary,

On motion of Mr. BJake,

Leave was granted to the Judiciary Committee to report a
bill, to add an addition to seventh section of Article forty-five,
of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Husband and
Wife.

On motion of Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
amend an Act passed March. 10,1850, incorporating the Poto-
mac Steamboat Company, and to extend the charter of the
same, as amended.

On motion of Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel,

Leave was granted to the Judiciary Committee to introduce
a bill to repeal sec. 19, Art. 18, of the Code of Public General
Laws, relating to Clerks of Courts, and to re-enact the same
witb amendment.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Judiciary Committee to introduce
a bill to repeal sec. 14, Art. 64, of the Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws relating to mortages, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Judiciary Committee to introduce
a bill to repeal sec. 56, Art. 82, title Chancery, and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Streett,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Militia to in-
troduce a bill to repeal Article 63, of the supplement of 1868.
Public General Laws, title Military, and re-enact the same
with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Blake,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore City delegation to re-
port a bill to regulate Primary Elections in the City of Bal-
timore.

Mr. Chapman presented,

The petition of John H. Downing, a soldier of the war of
1812, praying a pension be granted him.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.
