March 30th, 1868, and to re-enact the following sections, in
lieu thereof.

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Shipley submitted the following amendment:

Add at end of section 19, the following :

Excepting so far as the enabling Act referred to author-
izes the Act of 1868 to continue in force in the first election
district of Baltimore county until the first day of March,
1872.

Which was adapted,
And the bill as amended,

Read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third
reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 215, Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Balti-
more," sub-title "Elections," and enact the following in lieu
thereof.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act for the better protection of Fur in
Dorchester and Wicomico counties,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an A6t to protect Fish in the waters of
Mill Creek and Principle Creek, in Cecil county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to the
Public Local Laws, of Wicomico county, to be entitled ''Wit-
nessess,"

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Saint James and
Ellicott City Turnpike Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to lay off streets in Baltimore
county, adjoining Baltimore city, and to repeal certain Acts
inconsistent therewith,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Gatch submitted the following amendment:
