Mr. Grouse presented the following order :

Ordered, That John H. Jordan have leave of absence until
Wednesday next.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following order :

Ordered by the House of Delegates, That the Comptroller
inform this House what bonds of Clerks, Registers, Sheriffs,
Collectors of Taxes, and other receivers of public moneys
have been put in suit in compliance with section ly of Article
22, and section 78 of Article 81, and section 147 of Article
81, as amended by the Act of 1868, chap. 196, and the rea-
sons, if any, why the said Acts have not been enforced.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Marbury,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the town of East Laurel, Prince
George's county.

On motion of Mr. Bowlus,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduee a bill to repeal section 13 of Article 61, of the Code
of Public General Laws, relating to the jurisdiction of Jus-
tices of the Peace, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion of Mr. Markland,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to incorporate and establish an Insurance Fire
Patrol for the City of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to repeal an Act passed January session, 1868,
chapter 91, entitled an Act to incorporate the Mutual Fire
Insurance Company, of Anne Arundel county, and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the St. Paul's Savings Bank
of Baltimoie.

On motion of Mr. Woolford,

Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to report
a bill adding an additional section to Article ten, of the
Public Local Laws, entitled "Dorchester county," sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables."
