Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section ten, of Article five, of the
Code of Public Gen ral Laws, entitled "Appeals," and to
re-enact the same with amentments.

On motion of Mr. Kean,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to repeal an Act passed at the January session,
1868, chapter 334, entitled an Act supplemental and amen-
datory of an Act entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad Company, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judici-
ary, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend 3d section of the 75th
Article of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Pleadings, Practice and Process.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 18, of Article 51 >
of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the process
to be issued by Justices of the Peace, in civil cases, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal and to re-enact with
an amendment sect'on 171, of Article 93, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Testamentary Laws," and
relating to the powers of the Orphans' Court.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Walnut Level
Coal and Iron Company of Maryland.

Which was read a first time.

Mr Merrick Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the renewal of certain
bonds and certificates of indebtment of the State already due
and of others falling due in the year 1870.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 28, of Article 56,
of the Code of Public General Laws, and re-enact the same
with amendments, so as to read as follows.
