county delegation.

Mr. Gardner presented the petition of Robt. H. Reddish
and 126 others, asking the passage of a law to prohibit the
manafacture of Oyster and Fruit Cans in the Penitentiary.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Manu-
factures.

Mr. Gatch presented the petition of Albert J. B.Almony,
John Bosley, George Norris and 328 others against the re-
moval of the county seat of Baltimore county.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county dele-
gation.

Mr. Dennis presented the petition of Wm. Dall and 150
other citizens of Somerset and Worcester counties, praying
the passage of an Act to prevent the sale of Real Estate by
writ of scire facias, for cash.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary. ^

Mr. Mnrdock presented the petition of Ann Castle, widow
of a soldier of the war of 1812, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Chapman presented the petition of Sarah Smith,
widow of Jno. Smith a soldier of the war of 1812-15, pray-
ing for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Winters presented the petition of Mary A. Hahn.
asking for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Crouse presented the petition of Mrs. Gartrell, asking
for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Bowlus submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Committee on the State Deaf and
Dumb Asylum have leave of absence on Friday and Satur-
day next, in order to visit and examine into the condition of
that Institution.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Hardcastle, of Caroline, presented the following order:

Ordered, That Col. Joel Thomas have leave of absence un-
til Tuesday next.
