county, against the removal of the county seat.

The petition of Hoo. J. Morrison Harris, Hon. George
Yellott, Joseph Walker, R. W. Hook, and 547 other citizens
of Baltimore county, against the removal of the county seat.

Also,

The petition of Johns Hopkins, Henry Shiik, William
Paterson, Samuel Butler, Robert G. Ware, Robert Jenkins,
James H. Smith, Joseph B. Knight, John C. Armstrong,
John G. Cockey and 560 other citizens of Baltimore county,
against the removal of the county seat.

Also,

The petition of Thomas B. Bateman, Hon. Stephen W.
Falls, Benj A. Fleury, Dr. Robt. R. Bouldin, Dr. Charles
Hewitt, Ratcliffe Bridge, Thos. Cassidy, Robert H. Thomp-
son, Hugh Bone, Sr., Rev. James Cadden, Dr. R G. Rankin,
Peter Fowble, Hon. Jonathan Tracey, Melchoir Armacost,
Elisha Parks, Sr., Thomas C. Bosley, Chas. Wheeler and
440 other citizens of Baltimore county, against the removal
ot the county seat.

Also,

The petition of David M. Perrine, Edward P., Philpot,
Thos. Ward, of Texas, Frederick W. Brune, William E.
Hooper & Sons, Charles W. Lord, Alexander D. Brown,
Joseph H. Rieman and 362 other citizens of Baltimore county,
against the removal of the county seat.

Which were severally read and referred to the Baltimore
county delegation.

Mr. Wells presented the petition of Wm. H. Tuck, (with
a letter from the Governor,) asking compensation for profes-
sional services rendered the State at the request of the Com-
mander of the State Oyster Police Force, in the trial of sun-
dry cases under the Oyster Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Collins submitted the following order:

Ordered, That John F. Ellen be excused on account of
sickness.

Which was adopted.
Also,

Ordered, That James Banner be excused on account of
sickness in family.
