Mr. Oooper presented the petition of Powhatan Tribe, No.
5, I. O. B. M., to be exempt from taxation.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Marbury presented the petition of the widow of John
Grimes, a soldier of the war of 1812, asking for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Harrington presented the petition of F. J. Henry and
one hundred other citizens of Dorchester county, asking for
an amendment of the 98th Article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title, "Wild Fowl," by adding an additional sec-
tion, so as to allow citizens of Dorchester county to shoot
wild fowl on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, in the wa-
ters of the Great Choptank.

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester, Talbot
and Caroline Delegations.

Mr. Gordy presented the petition of Geo. P. Brown, Wm.S.
Smith, and fifty-eight other citizens of Wicomico county, in
regard to Fences.

Which was read and referred to the Wicomico Delegation,
and Mr. Brattan, of Somerset.

Mr. Beck presented the petition of Sarah. Ann Burgess,
widow of Peregrine Burgess, late of Capt. Barnes' Company,
Maryland Militia, war of 1812 and '14, asking the grant of a
pension.

Also,

The petition of Mary Voss,widow of Wm.Voss,Capt.McCon-
nikin's Co., Col. Roe's Regiment, Maryland Militia, asking
the grant of a pension for war of 1812 and '14.

Also,

The petition of Martha Ann Glenn Crouch, widow of James
Grouch, late of Capt. Edward Aisquith's Co., Col. Heath's
Regiment, Md. Militia, war of 1812 and '14, asking the
grant of a pension.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Merrick presented the petition of Ambrose Ingman
for relief.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Blake submitted the following order :
