BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

Feb. 26, 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message proposing a Joint As-
sembly of the two Houses, at one-quarter before eight o'clock
this evening, in the Hall of the House of Delegates, to hear
the Eulogy of S. Teackle Wallis, Esq., on the Life and
Character of George Peabody, and concur therein.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

Mr. McLane, Chairman of a Select Committee, submitted
the following

REPORT.

The Committee appointed to make needful and proper regu-
lations for holding a Joint Session of the Assembly at the
delivery of Mr. Wallis' Eulogy on the late George Peabody,
have the honor to report the following order, and to recom-
mend the adoption of the same by this House:

Ordered, That at the usual hour of adjournment on this
day, Friday, February 26, the House of Delegates shall take
a recess until 7 1/2 o'clock, P. M.

During the recess the doors shall be closed to all persons
other than members.

Immediately upon re-assembling, at 7 1/2o'clock, P. M., the
Senate shall be invited into Joint Session, in the Hall of the
House of Delegates.

And during the Joint Session the doors shall be closed to
all persons not holding tickets issued by the Committee of
Arrangements.

Which was adopted.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following House
bill:

A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments, section 45, of Article 81 of the Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes," and to add two
sections thereto,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ment."
