A bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1868, chapter
414, entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act to re-
peal Article 63, Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Militia, and sections 652 to 770, both inclusive, of Article 4,
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to Militia in the City of
Baltimore, and to re-enact the same with amendments, and
to enact the following in lieu thereof.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Purnell, Chairman of a Select Committee, to whom
had been referred the Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an
Act to repeal section 38, of Article '22, of the Code of Public
Local Laws for Worcester county, passed the January session,
1868,
Reported back the same with proposed amendments.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
SECTION 2. And be it enacted, That the County Commis-
sioners of Worcester county shall cause a correct copy of this
levy list to be made out, showing the amount of levy and the
objects for which the same was made, under general heads,
and shall cause the shame to be published in a newspaper
printed in said county, for at least three successive weeks
previous to the first Wednesday in November, in each year,
provided that not more than seventy dollars be allowed to
any paper for such service.
SECTION 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
Amend the title by inserting after the word "county" in the
third line, the words, relating to the publication of the levy
list of said county.
Amendments number one and two were read and adopted,
and the bill as amended read a second time. »

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Kent county, to open and enlarge the public road
in said county, passing through the village known as Mas-
sey's Cross Road in said county.

Mr. Owings, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably, without amendment,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 29th section
of the 5th Article of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating
to the pay of the crier of the Circuit Court for Calvert county,
and to enact a substitute therefor.
