Which were severally read and referred to the Baltimore
county delegation.

Mr-. Seibert presented the petition of J. A. Fisher and
others for the repeal of an Act passed December session, 1832,
chap. 45, so as to reopen an alley in Hagerstown.

Which was read and referred to the Washington delega-
tion.

Mr. Hopkins presented the petition of Thomas Lamplugh
and 154 other citizens of the town of Havre de Grace, pray-
ing the passage of an Act prohibiting the sale of spirituous
or malt liquois within the limits or within two miles of the
limits of said town.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Lankford sented the petition of Robert H. Mc-
Cready and 69 other citizens of Lawson's district, in Some.r-
set county, asking for a prohibitory liquor law in said dis-
trict,

. Which was read and referred to Messrs. Lankford, Brat-
tan and Dennis.

Mr. McLane presented the memorial of the National Board
of Trade upon the subject of licenses.

Which, was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Standish presented the following petitions :

The petition of Adam E. Hutchins and 19 other citizens of
Allegany county, praying the Legislature not to amend the
charter of the Consolidation Coal Company, and stating that
they had signed petitions in favor of such amendments under
a misapprenension of the facts.

Also,

The petition of George W. McCullough and 480 other
citizens and property holders of Allegany county, praying
the Legislature not to pass any amendment to the charter of
the Consolidation Coal Company of Maryland.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Mr. McLane submitted the following order :
Ordered, That a Committee of three be appointed by the
Speaker to tnake all needful and proper regulations for hold-
ing a joint session of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
at the delivery of Mr. Wallis' eulogy on the late George
Peabody, and that they report the same to this House.
