Mr. Owens, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably, without amendments, the following Senate bill:

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1868, chapter
234, relating to the annual donation of five hundred dollars
to the West Nottingham Academy, in Cecil county.

Mr. Neill, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported,
without amendments, the following Senate bill;

The bill entitled an Act to enlarge the powers of the Com-
missioners of Washington county, under Article 21, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington County,"
under the head of "County Commissioners," by adding
thereto the following sub-section.

Mr. Gatch, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported un-
favorably, the following Senate bill :

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of Public Local
Laws, passed February 27,. 184L, chapter 137, relating to
the division lines of the fifth election district of Baltimore
county, and re-enact the same with amendments.

The Report was concurred in.

Mr. Purnell, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably, without amendments, the following Senate bill :

The bill entitled an Act to change the name of the town
of Sandy Hill, in the eighth election district of Worcester
county, to the name of Stockton.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bill :

The bill entitled an Act to require the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to take charge of and keep in repair all
highways and bridges within the city limits.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs. McLane ^
Hoblitzell and Hamilton.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following House
bills, severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays :

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 958 and 959, of an
Act entitled an Act to ratify the purchase and to provide for the
organization and government of Druid Hill and Patterson
Parks, belonging to the City of Baltimore, by incorporating
certain additional sections in Article 4, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, passed January, 1862, and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to ap-
point a Notary Public in the town of Princess Anne, in Som-
erset county.
