450 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 23,

The bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the town
of Leitersburg, Maryland.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following House
tills, severally endorsed, "Reported unfavorably from the
Committee on the Judiciary, and report adopted :"

The bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle 12, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Har-
ford County," sub-title "State's Attorney." '

The bill entitled an Act to permit the hunting of foxes in
Kent county.

Mr. Standish, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle first of' the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany
county, relating to iees of the County Surveyor,

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Wells, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend and alter the charter of
the City of Annapolis

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Choate, Chairman, of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act for the better protection of game in
Baltimore and Carroll counties.

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill :

A bill entitled an Act for the protection of Fish and Ter-
rapins in the tributaries of the Fotomac river, lying in St.
Mary's county, and to regulate the time and manner of
catching and taking Fish in that portion of the Potomac river
between Cobb Point, in Charles county, and Point Lookout,
in St. Mary's county,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed
amendment."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out in the fifth section the words, "waters or."
Which was read and adopted.

And the bill, as amended, passed by yeas and nays, as
