JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [ Jan. 13,

favorably a bill entitled an Act to authorize the Register of
Wills for Howard county to examine, perfect and index cer-
tain Records in his office, and to authorize and provide com-
pensation for services so rendered.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Merrick moved that the bill be put upon a second read-
ing this day, in accordance with the provisions of section 27^
Article 3, of the Constitution.
