On motion of Mr. Brown,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill providing for the continuation of the General In-
dex of Judgments in Queen Anne's county.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill repealing the 43d section of Article LXI, of Code
of Public General Laws, entitled "Mechanic's Lien,." and
amending and re-enacting the same, so as to extend its pro-
visions to Queen Anne's county.
On motion of Mr. Choate,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to amend
chapter 432, Acts of Assembly, January session of 1868,
granting pensions to soldiers of the war of 1812, by adding
the name of George Reed.
On motion of Mr. Neill,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation to
introduce a bill to repeal section 204, of Article XXI. of Pub-
h'c Local Lawg of Washington county, relating to Justices of
the Peace and Constables, and re-enact the same as amended.
On motion of Mr. Streett,
Leave was granted to the Harford delegation to introduce
a bill to add a new section to Article XII. of the Public Local
Laws, relating to the compensation of the State's Attorney
for Harford county.
On motion of Mr. McLane,
The leave which was yesterday granted the Committee on
the Judiciary- to introduce a bill to appropriate a sum of
money to the Law Department of the University of Maryland,
and to provide for admissions to the Bar, was referred to the
Committee on. Ways and Means.
Mr. Cameron, Chairman of Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment
of moneys expended in repairing a bridge near Monkton, in
Baltimore county.

Mr. Neill, Chairman of aSelect Committee, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled an Act to provide for the better protection
of partridges in Washington county, passed January session,
1868, chapter 21, and re-enact the same with amendments.
