Which, was read a first time.

Mr. Cameron, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to establish voting precincts in the
7th election district of Baltimore county.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 149, 150, 151,
152, 153, 154, 155, 156 and 157, of the 3rd Article of the
Public Local Laws, relating to roads in Baltimore county, and
sub-sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, and section 3 of the Act of
the General Assembly of Maryland, chapter 411, approved
March 30, 1868, and re-enact the following sections in lieu
thereof.

Mr. Marbury, Chairman of the Committee on Internal Im-
provements, reported favorably without amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1853,
chapter 194, entitled "An Act to incorporate the Baltimore
and Potomac Railroad Company, and to repeal the 2d sec-
tion of the Act of 1860, chapter 71, and to extend the time
for the completion of the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad."

Said bill being upon a second reading.

On motion of Mr. McCreery,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and

The bill ordered to be printed, and made the order of the
day for Monday, 21st inst.

Oa motion of Mr. Purnell, (the rules being suspended,)

Leave was granted to Messrs. Purnell, Dennis and Lank-
ford to report a bill entitled an Act to protect the Oyster
Beds in Synapuxent Bay and its tributaries, in Worcester
county.

Mr. Beck, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the fol-
lowing order:

Ordered, That Mr. G. M. Hartt, Assistant Postmaster, have
leave of absence until Wednesday next.

The Speaker laid before the House the following communi-
cation from the Hon. Levin Woolford, Comptroller of the
Treasury, together with accompanying papers :
