Mr. Beck presented the petiiion of Wm Stephens and 30
citizens of Kent county, praying for a law to prohibit the
sale of liquors within 3 miles of Worton Heights.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Biddle presented the following petitions:

The petition of Dr. H. H. Mitchell, George R. Howard
and 35 others, asking for a law to prevent swine from run-
ning at large in the 3d district of Cecil county.

Which was read and referred to the Cecil delegation.

Also,

The petition of C. B. Hopper, F. Layman and others, ask-
ing for a law to enable the voters of Chesapeake city, in Cecil
county, to decide upon the issuing of licenses for the sale of
spirituous liquors in said town.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Myers presented the petition of Henry Hanecamps,
John Ryan and 699 others, praying the General Assembly
to oppose the consolidation of the coal interests of Allegany
county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Percy presented

The petition of John Coles. Albion Coles, James Tibbetts
and 44 others, praying the General Assembly to oppose the
consolidation of the coal interests in Allegany county.
