Duke, of Calvert, is prevented from attending the sittings of
this House by sickness in his family.

Ordered, That when this House adjourns it adjourns to
meet at 11 o'clock hereafter, instead of 12 o'clock, as at
present.

On motion of Mr. Wells,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to appropriate a sum of money for the re-
lief of William Brown, of the city of Annapolis, who lost his
arm whilst engaged in the service of the State of Maryland
in firing a salute on the fifth day of July, 1869.
On motion of Mr. Cameron,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to legalize the acts of the Boards of Road Su-
pervisors in Baltimore county, acting and performing duties
under an Act passed at the January session of 1868, chapter
411, approved by the Governor, March 30, 1868.
On motion of Mr. Kean,
Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to report a
bill to empower the County Commissioners of Allegany
county to appoint such persons to collect the tax of said
county as will collect the same at the lowest rates.
On motion of Mr. McLane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to repeal the third section of an Act entitled
"an Act to incorporate the City Park Railway Company,"
passed January session, 1862, and to re-enact the same with
amendments
On motion of Mr. Owens,
Leave was granted to the Cecil delegation to introduce a
bill authorizing the Trustees of the lower West Nottingham
Presbyterian Church, in Cecil county, to receive by convey-
ance a piece or parcel of land, as an addition to the cemetery
at said church.
On motion of Mr. Ehlen,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the Cumberland
Coal and Iron Company of Allegany county, Maryland.
