The Speaker laid before the House the petition of Wm. H..
Collins, making a claim for wages alleged to be due him by
the State of Maryland.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims-
Mr. Grouse presented the petition of Wm. Carmack, pray-
ing to be put upon the pension list.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions,

Mr. Bowlus presented the petition of Elizabeth Coblentzr
widow of John Coblentz, a soldier in the war of 1812, for a
pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Seibert presented a petition from 40 citizens of Leiters-
burg, Washington county, giving to the Burgess of said
town additional powers.

Which was read and referred to the Washington county
delegation.

Mr. Harrington presented a petition from Wm. T. Sta-
lefort and 136 other citizens of Dorchester county, praying
or a fence law for the Districts of Lake's and Straight's, in.
said county.

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester county dele-
gation.
