adopted on January 19th, on or before March 1st.

Mr. Watkins submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that if Mr.
Veitch had been present when the vote was taken upon tke
report of the Committee on Federal Relations rejecting the
fifteenth amendment to the Constitution of the United States,
he would have voted in the affirmative.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Carroll submitted the following order :

Ordered, That whereas the turn-styles on the east and
south entrances to the State House grounds are a nuisance,
and tending greatly to the discomfort of members, the keeper
of the grounds be directed to remove the same until the ex-
piration of this session of the Legislature.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Gorman submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the President of the Baltimore and Potomac
Railroad be, and is hereby requested to furnish, for the in-
formation of this General Assembly, without delay, the
names of the officers of the Company, their residences and
salaries ; the names of the stockholders, their residences, the
amount or number of shares subscribed by each, the amount
paid on each share so subscribed to this date, and a copy of
any contract or contracts which have been made by said
Company for the construction of said road, and the amount
of work that has been done, and the time required to com-
plete the entire road.
