exposed in the multiplied relations of society, it having been
made known to the Legislature that the corporate powers
granted to the Maryland College of Pharmacy by the State
of Maryland, January 27, 1841, will expire by limitation
January 27, 1871] therefore.

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Western
Maryland Railroad Company, by increasing the number of
Directors in said Company, and authorizing the appointment
of six Directors by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
in addition to two already appointed by said Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, and by authorizing the said Company
to issue its bonds to the amount of fourteen hundred thousand
dollars, in addition to the amount already authorized, and to
secure the payment of the same by mortgage.

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also returned the following bill:

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Cecil Fire Brick
Company in Cecil county.

Endorsed, « Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to authorise the Governor to ap-
point an additional Justice of the Peace for election district
No. 1, in Worcester county,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ment."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend section 1, line 4, by adding after the word "coun-
ty," the following: Also, one additional Justice of the
Peace for election district No. 8.

Which was read and adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then passed by yeas and nays,
