AMBNDMINTS PROPOSED.
Amend by inserting after the word "matter," in the 7th
line of section 50, the following words :
And this section shall be construed to include all actions
of debts for the collection of fines, penalties and forfeitures
imposed by any law of the State, and which are made recov-
erable before a Justice of the Peace in which a right of appeal
may not be given by the law imposing the same.
Amend by inserting after the word "appear," in the 8th
line of section 50, the following words :
On or before the aecond day of the term of the Court to
which such appeal is taken.

A bill entitled an Act to enable "The Mount Vernon Manu-
facturing Company, of Baltimore city," incorporated under
Article 26 of the Public General Laws of this State, as the
same is amended by the Act of January session, 1868, chap.
471, to conduct its manufacturing operations upon property
by it owned in the city of Alexandria, in the State of Vir-
ginia.

on Corporations.
A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled a Supple-
ment to an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Superan-
nuated Fund Society of the Maryland Annual Conference passed
at December session, 1839, chapter 285, passed at December
session, 1844, chapter 21.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.
A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1841, chapter
thirty-two, entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Col-
lege of Pharmacy, and to renew and extend said charter.
Whereas, it is the duty of every g6od government to en-
courage the establishment of useful institutions, and regula-
tions calculated to advance the well being, security and
interest of the community, and protect, so far as possible, its
citizens from those ills and dangers to which they become
