On motion of Mr, Seibert,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation
to report a bill to give the Burgess of Leitersburg, Washing-
ton county, additional powers.

On motion of Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to the Law De-
partment of the University of Maryland, and to provide for
admissions to the bar.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill regulating the pay of Judges of the Orphans'
Courts of the several counties and the city of Baltimore.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to sanction the bequeaf or devise of Henry A.
Stinnecke, late of Baltimore city, to the Bishop of the Pro-
testant Episcopal Church in Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Merrick,

Leave was granted the Howard county delegation and Mr.
Veitcb, of Montgomery, to introduce a Bill entitled an Act
to authorize the Register of Wills of Howard county, to ex-
amine, perfect and index, certain records in his office, and to
provide compensation for the services so to be rendered.

Mr. Blake submitted the following message,

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 12, 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message relative to, furnishing the
Governor's Mansion and concur therein, we have appointed
on the part of this House Messrs. Blake, Marbury and Chap-
man.

Chief Clerk.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the Senate.
On motion of Mr. Murdock,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation to
introduce a Bill to give the Vestry of St. Marks Church of
Lappons' Cross Roads, power to sell a piece of ground in
Boonsboro', Washington county.
