On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to add an additional section to Article 4
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Aliens"
and to be section 10 of said Article.

On motion of Mr. Myers,

Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to report
a bill to repeal an Act of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Allegany county," sub-title "Fences," and re-enact the
same with an amendment.

Ou motion of Mr. Martin,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill making an additional appropriation to pay for
the iron eteamer built by Wm. F. Shaw & Co., for the
State Oyster Police Force.

On motion of Mr. Streett,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to refund to Wm. H. Morgan, forty-two dol-
lars and nineteen cents, amount of State tax paid in error.

On motion of Mr. Garey,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to refund to Elijah Towers, Collector 3rd election
district, Caroline county, a sum of money overpaid into the
Treasury.

On motion of Mr. Duvall,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to report a
bill to pay to Henry Brook, Clerk to the Circuit Court of
Prince George's county, certain fees due him since 1868.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to report a
bill to pay C. C. Magruder, Jr., certain fees due him by the
State of Maryland as Attorney-at-Law.

Mr. Hoblitzell moved that the rules be suspended, and that
the House proceed to the consideration of the order of the
day, being the Joint Resolutions in reference to the claim of
the State vs. the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
