submitted to and approved by the Judges of the
Circuit Court of said county, or a majority thereof,
as in accordance with the provisions of this Article.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
only apply to the counties of Caroline, Kent, Tal-
bot, Frederick, Prince George's, Queen Anne's,
Charles and Harford County; and that this Act
shall take effect from its passage.

AN ACT to confirm an Act passed by the General
Assembly of Virginia, entitled "An Act to in-
corporate the Shenandoah Valley Railroad Com-
pany," passed February twenty-third, eighteen
hundred and sixty-seven; also to confirm an
Act passed by the Legislature of West Virginia,
entitled "An Act to authorize the Shenandoah
Valley Railroad Company to construct their road
through the State of West Virginia to the Poto-
mac River, &c.," passed February twenty-five,
eighteen hundred and seventy, and to authorize
the said Company to extend their road across
the Potomac River, and to Hagerstown, in
Washington County, in this State.

WHEREAS, an Act has passed the General Assem-
bly of West Virginia, entitled "An Act to au-
thorize the Shenandoah Valley Railroad Company
to construct their road through the State of West
Virginia to the Potomac River," and to authorize
the Board of Supervisors of Jefferson County to
submit to a vote of the people, at a special election,
the question of a subscription to the capital stock
of said Company, as follows: An Act to authorize
the Shenandoah Valley Railroad Company to con-
struct their road through the State of West Vir-
ginia to the Potomac River, &c., passed February
twenty-fifth, eighteen hundred and seventy.
