SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller,the Treasurer shall pay to William Frizzle,
or his order, the sum of one hundred and thirty-
three dollars and twenty-five cents.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 390.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County to correct the assess-
ment of certain real estate in said County, and
to refund taxes thereon paid in error.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel county be and they are hereby au-
thorized and directed to review the assessment of
the real estate of Maria L. Stewart, lying in said
county, for the years eighteen hundred and sixty-
six to eighteen hundred and sixty-nine, inclusive,
made under the Act of Assembly passed at the
January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-six,
Chapter one hundred and fifty-seven, and if they,
after such review, shall be satisfied that the said
real estate was erroneously and extravagantly as-
sessed, they shall correct the said assessment, and
ascertain the amount of taxes that should have
been paid on the basis of the new assessment here-
by authorized, and shall thereupon levy upon the
assessable property of the county a sum of money
sufficient to refund to the said Maria L. Stewart
the amount of county taxes so erroneously paid by
her in excess for the years eighteen hundred and
sixty-six, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, eigh-
teen hundred and sixty-eight and eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-nine, or for either of said years.
