Mr. Hardcastle, of Caroline, presented the following peti-
tions

The petition of John W. Bradly, H. L. Wills and 130
others praying for a law to prohibit the sale of intoxicating
liquors in the 3d district of Caroline county.

Also,

The petition of M. W. McMahon and 180 others, praying
for a law to prohibit the sale of intoxicating liquors in the 3d
district of Caroline county.

Also,

The petition of Matthew Patter and 92 others praying for
a law to prohibit the sale of intoxicating liquors in the 3d
district of Caroline county.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Mr. Dennis presented the petition of Revel Outer and 35
citizens of the eighth election district of Worcester county,
in favor of a change in the line of the eighth election dis-
trict.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Crawford presented the petition of Geo. A. I. Hop-
kins and 50 others against the passage of a law prohibiting
the sale of intoxicating liquors in Tyaskin district of Wi-
comico county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Biddle presented the petition of F. B. Cruikshanks,
J. B. Jones and 40 others, asking for a law to protect Wild
Fowl.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee
on that subject.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
the rules being suspended, reported favorably a bill entitled
an Act to add additional sections to the Act of 1865, chapter
36, entitled an Act to incorporate the German Fire Insurance
Company of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.
On motion of Mr. Dennis,

" The rules were suspended, and the House resumed the con-
sideration of the order of the day, being the Joint Resolu-
tions in reference to the claims of the State against the Bal-
timore and Ohio Railroad Company.
