Mr. Watkins presented the petition of Asa A. Watkins
for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Wells presented the petition of Wm. Hubbard, ask-
ing for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Shower presented the following petitions :

The petition of D. W. Hauck, and 169 others, asking for
an extension of the Pension Laws.

Also,

The petition of Edward Campbell, and 60 other soldiers of
the war, and other citizens of Carroll county, on same subject.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Webb presented the petition of Thomas E. Dell, pray-
ing that the Legislature pass an act to pay him for work
done for the State.

Which was read and refeired to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Brattan presented the petition of George W. Collier
and 146 other citizens of Tangier district, in Somerset county,
protesting against the repeal of the dredge law and for the
present tax to be reduced.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Chesa-
peake Bay and its tributaries.

Mr. Pumell presented the petition of certain citizens of
Worcester county, praying tliat the Commissioners of said
county be authorized to levy money to construct a road and
ferry across the Pocomoke river at Rehobdth.

Which was read and referred to the Worcester county dele-
gation and Mr. Brattan.

Mr. Turner presented the petition of Thomas Armacost and
other citizens of Baltimore county, remonstrating against
the passage of a law to prohibit the sale of intoxicating li-
quors at or near Warren Factory.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Hardcastle, of Talbot, presented the petition of Ed-»
ward Lloyd and other citizens of Talbot county, praying the
enactment of a law for the protection of sheep, by taxing dogs.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
