Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to refund to Thomas Grubb aud John M. Jack-
son, trading as Grubb & Jackson, (Butchers,) in Cecil coun-
ty, the sum of twelve dollars and fifty cents ($12,50) errone-
ously paid into the Treasury in the year 1869.

On motion of Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend and re-enact section one hundred
and thirty-four of Article 4, of the Public Local Laws re-
lating to the City of Baltimore under sub-title "Bailiffs and
Crier to Circuit Court, Criminal Court, Court of Common
Pleas and Superior Court."

On motion of Mr. Wells,

Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel delegation to
introduce a bill for the relief of Daniel Ammen, of Anne
Arundel county.

On motion of Mr. Percy,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to report a
bill to give bounty to certain persons who put substitutes in
the army of the United States in the late war, and whom the
existing bounty laws unintentionally fail to reach.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Elkton and Mas-
sey's Railroad Company.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act, entitled an Act
incorporating the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the German Consoli-
dated Fire Insurance and Real Estate Company of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled au Act to amend an Act, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Mercantile Library Association of the city
of Baltimore, passed January 17, 1842. being chapter 15,
of 1841,

Which was read a first time.

Also,
