CHAPTER 346.
AN ACT to remedy and give effect to informal
and invalid deeds, and to quiet possession there-
under.
|

valid.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That all deeds of conveyance of
property in this State, which may have been
recorded without any certificate of the Clerk of
any of the courts of this State accompanying the
acknowledgment thereof, in cases in which such
certificates are necessary and proper, certifying to
the official character and signature of the Justice
of the Peace taking the same, be and the same are
hereby declared to he valid to all intents and pur-
poses, as if such defect and omission did not exist;
provided, that the execution and acknowledgment
of such deeds, in all other respects, conform to the
laws of this State, in such cases made and pro-
vided, saving, nevertheless, the rights of bona fide
purchases and incumbrances without notice.

CHAPTER 347.

AN ACT to authorize the School Commissioners
of the Fifth Election District of Baltimore
County to sell and convey a piece of land for
school purposes.
|

and appropri-
ate.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas J. Gorsuch, School
Commissioner for the Fifth Election District of
Baltimore County, be authorized and empowered
to sell and convey the land upon which School-
house (No. 4) of said district formerly stood, and
to devote the proceeds to promoting a library for
said Schoolhouse (No. 4), as at present numbered
by the School Commissioners of Baltimore County.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
