CHAPTER 348.

AN ACT to increase the number of Incorporators
in 'An Act entitled An Act to Incorporate the
Westernport and Potomac Railroad Company,
passed at the January Session, eighteen hun-
dred and fifty-three, Chapter two hundred and
nineteen.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That J. Smith Johnson, J. P. Seiss,
Barney Dilley, Joseph White, George W. Hoover,
B. R. Edwards, Levi W. Brant, J. W. Wolf, A.
J. Stottlemeyer and A. W. Smenner, be and they
are hereby added to the number of incorporators
named in Sections one and three of An Act enti-
tled An Act to Incorporate the Westernport and
Potomac Railroad Company, passed at the Janu-
ary Session of eighteen hundred and fifty-three,
Chapter two hundred and nineteen.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the persons
named in the preceding section, with the persons
named in the first section of the said Act, or a
majority of said whole number of incorporators,
shall and may have and exercise all the powers,
privileges and duties conferred by said original
Act of Incorporation upon the incorporators named
in said original Act.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all sections
and parts of sections in the said Act, to which this
Act is a supplement, inconsistent with this Act,
be and the same are hereby repealed; provided,
however, that the Capital Stock of the said West-

ernport and Potomac Railroad Company shall not
exceed the sum of five hundred thousand dollars,
and shall be liable to State and County taxation.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its approval, and the
Legislature reserves the right to alter, repeal or
annul this Act at pleasure.
