which may occur in the present Boards of County
School Commissioners.

Free to each
county.
|
Sec. 2. Schools on or near the dividing line of
two counties, shall he free to the children of each
county, and the Board of County School Commis-
sioners of the respective counties shall have power
to provide jointly for the maintenance of sail
school.

Inconsistent
repealed.
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all the Sections
of the several Articles of the Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws relating to Schools, inconsistent with the
provisions of this Act, and all Acts of Assembly
passed since the adoption of said volumes of the
Code, relating to Schools, inconsistent with the
provisions of this Act, be and the same are hereby
repealed.

Sec, 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 312.
|
|
AN ACT to repeal Section sixty-three of Article
eighty-one of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled "Revenue and Taxes," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.
WHEREAS doubts have been entertained as to
whether the section mentioned in the title of this
Act applies to the city of Baltimore, therefore, iti
order to remove all doubts in the premises —

Repealed and
re-enacted.

SECTION 1. Be. it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section sixty-three of Article
eighty-one of the Public General Laws be and the
same is hereby repealed, and re-enacted so as to
read as follows :

Land sold for
taxes.
|
63. In all cases where lands held in fee simple
or by lease have been sold, or shall be sold, for
payment of taxes in arrears, according to the pro-
visions of existing laws, it shall be the duty of the
Collector of Taxes to report the said sale, together
