AN ACT for the better protection of game in
Baltimore and Carroll Counties.
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That no person shall trap, shoot or
in any manner catch, kill, maim or wound any
partridge or pheasant between the first day of
October, 1870, and the first day of October, 1872.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That no person shall
trap, shoot or in any manner catch, kill, maim or
wound any rabbit within six miles of the city of
Baltimore, in Baltimore County, between the first
day of October, 1870, and the first day of Octo-
ber, 1872.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That any person vio-
lating the preceding sections of this Act shall pay
a fine of twenty dollars for each and every offence
to the County Commissioners wherein the offence
was committed, one-half for the benefit of the

Penalty.

public schools of said county and one-half to the
informer, to be collected beiore any Justice of the
Peace as other small debts: Provided, that the
provisions of this act shall not apply to any owner
of land trapping or shooting upon his own lands,
