Fee of Sheriff.

designate, and the said sheriff shall not be entitled
to charge or receive any other fee than that which
is or may be allowed by law for receiving such
vagrants into his custody when first apprehended
and committed, nor more than twenty-five cents
per day for boarding such vagrants.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 299.
|

AN ACT to declare the sanction of the General
Assembly to the bequest of David Smith, late of
Worcester county deceased, to the Committee of
Pitts Creek Church, in said county.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, David Smith, late of Worcester
county deceased, by his last will and testament,
duly admitted to probate, and recorded in the
Office of Register of Wills for said county, be-
queathed certain real estate to the Committee of
Pitts Creek Presbyterian Church in said county,
and to their successors in office, for the use and
benefit of Pitts Creek Church in said county; therefore,

Sanction
given,
|
SECTION 1. He it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sanction of the General As-
sembly of Maryland be, and the same is hereby
given and declared to the said devise and bo-
quest of the said David Smith.
|
In force.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from its passage.
