Gates — how
hung.
|
98. All gates on the public roads of Charles
County shall be so made and hung as not to cause
unnecessary delay or hindrance to travelers, and
any person who shall tear down, destroy, remove,
or wilfully leave open any gate on the public
roads in the county, so made and hung, shall be
subject to a fine not exceeding ten dollars, for the
use of the county.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 295.
|

AN ACT to repeal Section thirty-five of Article
eighteen, of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, relating to Clerks of Courts, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section thirty-five of Article
eighteen, of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title, Clerks of Courts, he and the same
is hereby repealed, and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows :

Oath of Sheriff
|
35. The Clerks of all the Courts to which jurors
are summoned shall administer to the Sheriff the
oath required to be taken by him on his returning
a panel of jurors, and the Clerks of the several
Courts of this State, and their deputies, are hereby
empowered to administer oaths upon all legal
papers for file in their respective offices upon which
affidavits are required by law.
