CHAPTER 295.

AN ACT to amend the Act passed the thirtieth
day of March, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
Chapter four hundred and six, entitled "An
Act to repeal the Act passed the twenty-third of
March, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, Chap-
ter one hundred and eighty-four, entitled An
Act to repeal Article seventy-one of the Code of
Public General Laws in the State of Maryland,
entitled Oysters," and to re-enact the same with
amendments, by adding the following section
thereto :

 

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act passed March the thir-
tieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chapter
four hundred and six, entitled "An Act to repeal
the Act passed the twentieth day of March,
eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, Chapter one
hundred and eighty-four, entitled An Act to re-
peal Article seventy-one of the Code of Public
General Laws of the State of Maryland, entitled
Oysters," and to re-enact the same with, amend-
ments, be and the same is hereby amended, by
adding thereto the following section:

Repealed and
re-enacted.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That in addition to
the duties required of the commanding officer of
the Oyster Police Force, under the provisions of
the forty-first Section of Chapter four hundred and
six of the Act of Assembly, passed at January
Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, the
said commanding officer be and he is hereby re-
quired, from the first day of October in each year
till the first day of April of the following year,
at such times as he shall be able to spare them, to
detail a portion of his force, together with a boat
or barge, to visit and cruise about the Susque-
hanna and other rivers of this State, and enforce
the provisions of Article ninety-eight of the Code
of Public General Laws relating to Wild Fowl.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
