Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Seibert presented

The petition of John L. Smith and 60 other citizens of
Washington county, asking a repeal of the Militia Law of
the State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Militia.

Also,

The petition of Rachel Moffit, widow of John Moffitt, and
Jacob Guyer, asking to be put on the pension list, as soldier
and widow of soldier of 1812-'14.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Merrick presented

The petition of G. W. Sands praying compensation for
services as attorney for the State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

The petition of citizens of Carroll county, praying to annex
part of Carroll county to Howard county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Gatch presented the petition of Philip D. Brengan,
Thos. Todd, Thos. Sanderson, John B. Slade, and 550 others,
praying the removal of the county seat of Baltimore county,
from Towsontown to the Almshouse property of said county.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county dele-
gation.
