Mr. White presented the petition of Polly Miller, asking
to be placed on the pension list.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Hoblitzell presented the communication of Robert Gil-
more, Jr., Judge of the Criminal Court of the City of Balti-
more and the report of the Grand Jury, in reference to the
Maryland Penitentiary.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Public
Buildings.

Mr. Choate presented the following petitions :

The petition of E. H. Bennett, Thos. P. Phillips, George
W. Odell, Rich'd Haviland, John S. Miller, and 45 other
citizens of Baltimore county, asking for the removal of the
Court House from Towsontown to the Almshouse property in
said county.

Also,

The petition of Wm. Randle, J. C. Sullivan, W. H. D.
Hall, George Wade, Jos. P. Fasting and 80 other citizens of
Baltimore county, asking for the removal of the Court House
from Towsontown to the Almshouse property in said county.

Also,

The petition of Jas. L. Ridgely, Noah Worthington, of
Thos., Resin Worthington, Rachel Baesman and 350 others,
praying for the removal of the Court House, &c., to the
Almshouse property of Baltimore county.

Also,

The petition of Noah Walker, Jas. B. Councilman, J. Les-
ter Turner, Thos, Craddock, Chas, T. Cockey and 400 other
citizens of Baltimore county, asking for the removal of the
Court House, &c., from Towsontown to the Almshouse pro-
perty in said county.

Also,

The petition of Chas J. Baker, Ormond Knight, T. J.
Taylor, J. B. Heacock, Dr. G. W. Bayly, Cardiff Tagart,
and 600 others, for the removal of the county seat from Tow-
sontown to the Almshouse property in Baltimore county.

Which were severally read and referred to the Baltimore
county delegation.

Mr. Hardcastle, of Talbot, presented the petition of John
W. Cheezun and other citizens of Talbot county, praying the
enactment of a law for the protection of sheep by taxing dogs.

Also,

The petition of Jas. C. Norris and other citizens of Talbot
