CHAPTER 267.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Trustees
of the Lower West Nottingham Presbyterian
Church, in Cecil county, or their successors, to
receive by conveyance a lot of ground as an addi-
tion to the Grove surrounding said church.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas J. Gillespie, Robert
N. Hindman, William B. Rowland. James M.
Eveans, George Gillespie, Theodore L. Marshall,
Samuel Tosh, John W. Mount and James O. Mc-
Cormick, the present Trustees of the Lower West
Nottingham Presbyterian Church, in Cecil county

and their successors be, and they are hereby author-
ized and empowered to purchase and hold in trust
from the executor of Elizabeth A. McMains, late
of said county deceased, to them and their succes-
sors, a lot of ground with the improvements there-
on, supposed to contain four acres of land more or
less, as an addition to the grove surrounding said
church for the uses of the same.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize John H. Stokes, of Harford
county, surviving Trustee, to sell and convey a
parcel of land to the Trustees of Deer Creek,
monthly meeting of Friends for the use of their
members at Broad Creek meeting.

WHEREAS, John Lewin, late of Harford county
deceased, did convey by deed on the seventeenth
day of August, eighteen hundred and fifty-nine,
(1869,) which deed is recorded in Liber, W. G.,
number eleven, folio one hundred and twenty-one,
one of the land Records of the Circuit Court for
Harford county, to John H. Stokes and Thomas
