Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize Philos Lodge, No.
91, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, to divide into burial
lots the parcel of land owned by it, known as the Philos
Cemetery, and to sell the same and issue certificates of title
therefor,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to permit the hunting of foxes in
Kent county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House proceeded to the consideration of the bill en-
titled an Act to appropriate a sum of money for the purchase
of a lot of ground in which to inter the remains of the Con-
federate soldiers who died at Point Lookout, in St. Mary's
county, whilst prisoners of war during the late civil strife,

and enclose and ornament the same.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

Pending which,
On motion of Mr. Martin,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill made the order of the day for Friday next, 11th in-
stant.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 89, of Article 21,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington
County," sub-title, "Crier," and to re-enact the same as
amended,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to ap-
point and commission nine additional Justices of the Peace
for St. Mary's county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the protection of
sheep in Queen Anne's county, and for re-imbursing owners
of sheep for damages sustained by them in the killing or
injuring of sheep by dogs,
