CHAPTER 195.
AN ACT to amend the Act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-one, Chapter eight, relating to ex-
emption of property from execution.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section six of the Act of
|

re-enacted.
|
eighteen hundred and sixty-one, entitled "An Act
to amend the eighty-third Article of the Code of
Public General Laws, by exempting a certain
amount of property from execution," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:

Exemption not
to apply.
|
Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the exemption
herein shall not apply to any execution on a judg-
ment rendered on any contract, or to any liabili-
ties which now exist or may exist when this Act
shall take effect; and, provided, that nothing
herein contained shall be construed to apply to
any persons except actual, bonia fide residents of
the State of Maryland.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 196.
|

AN ACT to continue in force an Act entitled "An
Act to regulate and make uniform the Fees of
Constables," passed January Session, eighteen
hundred and sixty-five, Chapter sixty-seven.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act of January Session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-five, Chapter sixty-

seven, entitled " An Act to regulate and make
uniform the fees of Constables," and which will
expire on the first day of April, eighteen hundred
and seventy, he and the same is hereby continued
in force until the first day of April, eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-two.
