Issue bonds.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the said County
Commissioners of Cecil County, or a majority of
them, to enable them to carry into effect the first
Section of this Act, be and they are hereby au-
thorized and empowered, if in their discretion they
deem it expedient and proper, to issue, on the
credit of said county, bonds to an amount not ex-

ceeding forty thousand dollars, or so much thereof .
as may be necessary, to carry into effect the first
Section of this Act; the said bonds to be redeem-
able on or before the first day of July, eighteen
hundred and eighty-five, at the discretion of said
County Commissioners, with legal interest, paya-
ble semi-annually, and the faith and assessable
property of said county are hereby pledged for the
payment and redemption of principal and inter-
est of said bonds.

Bonds exempt

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the said bonds
shall be exempt from county and municipal taxa-
tion.

Inconsistent
repealed .

Sec. 6 And be it enacted, That all Acts .or parts
of Acts inconsistent with this Act, be and the
same are hereby repealed.

In force.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 192.

AN ACT to provide for maintaining and keeping
in repair the Public Roads of Anne Arundel
County, and to repeal the Act passed at January
Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chap-
ter two hundred and ninety-nine, so far as the
same applies to Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at the January Session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chapter two
