Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That if any person or per-
sons shall haul or fish with any seine or seines over
one hundred fathoms in length, in Synapuxent
Bay or its tributaries, or in any of the bays or their
tributaries, on the eastern side of Worcester County

above the line of Virginia, he or they shall be
fined in a sum not exceeding one hundred dollars,
for the first offence, and two hundred dollars for
every subsequent offence, with all costs accruing
in the prosecution of such offender or offenders.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 191.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County
Commissioners of Cecil County to build or re-
pair certain public buildings in said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Cecil County be, and they are hereby authorized

and empowered, in their discretion, to build a new
County Jail for said county, or to repair or rebuild
the old one, and to repair or remodel the present
Court House for said county.
Sec. 2. And be if, enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of said county are hereby authorised to
issue proposals and make contracts for repairing
or rebuilding said old Jail, or for the building of
a new one, as they may deem most proper, and to
