Supervisors in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth,
sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh,

 

twelfth and thirteenth Road Districts of Baltimore
County, be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to collect the amounts levied for road and
bridge purposes in their respective districts for the
year eighteen hundred and sixty-nine, under the
Act of thirtieth of March, eighteen hundred and
sixty-eight, Chapter four hundred and eleven, and
to use so much of the said taxes collected as may

he necessary to pay all claims and adjust all indebt-
edness incurred by the several local Boards of Su-
pervisors for the repairs, building and rebuilding
of all roads and bridges which have been completed
or contracted for by the said local Boards of Road
Supervisors aetiug under the Act of eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-eight, Chapter four hundred and
eleven.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the failure of said
Road Supervisors to subscribe to the oath prescribed
by Section six, Article first, of the Constitution,
shall not be construed to prevent the said Road
Supervisors from performing all the acts and
powers prescribed by this Act, which is hereby de-
clared to be n.n enabling Act, to legalize the acts
of levying of taxes by said Road Supervisors, as
fully as if they had qualified at the time of per-
forming the duties according to Section six, Article
jne, of the Constitution; provided, however, the
said Road Supervisors shall not make any new
contracts or incur any other expenses for repairs
of roads and bridges other than those existing on
the first day of March, eighteen hundred and
seventy.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That after the said
several Boards of Road Supervisors of the several
road districts in said Baltimore County, shall have
collected from the tax-payers the amount of taxes
which has been levied for road and bridge pur-
poses, and shall have paid all debts and obliga-
tions incurred for repairs and building of roads
and bridges and other expenses in the several road
