Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County, and the
Mayor, Recorder and Aldermen of the city of An-
napolis be and are hereby authorized and empow-
ered to subscribe such sum or sums of money to
aid the construction of said bridge as they may
deem proper, and upon such terms and conditions
as may be provided for by agreement between the
said Association and the said County Commission-
ers, and Mayor, Recorder and Aldermen.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That at any time
hereafter it shall and may he lawful for the Mayor,
Recorder, Aldermen of the city of Annapolis,
or for the County Commissioners of Anne Arun-
del County, either to purchase the said bridge by
contract or agreement with the said Mutual Build-
ing Association, or to assume by resolution or
otherwise the charge of keeping the said bridge
in repair, upon such terms and conditions as may
he agreed upon by the said Mayor, Recorder and
Aldermen, or the said County Commissioners;
provided, however, that in no case shall there be
greater toll demanded or received than as herein-
before provided.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal Section one of Article twenty-
two of the Public Local Laws, relating to the
Almshouse in Worcester County, and to enact a
substitute therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section one of Article twenty-
two of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Worcester County," be and the same is hereby
repealed and the following enacted as a substitute
therefor ;
