Build bridge.

tion of Annapolis be and it is hereby authorized
and empowered to build a bridge from the city of
Annapolis over Spa Creek, to any part of the Horn
Point property lately purchased by the said Asso-
ciation from William F. Pentz.

Tolls.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the property of
the said bridge, when built, shall be vested in the
said Mutual Building Association, its successors
and assigns, who shall have power to demand and
receive tolls for the passage of said bridge not ex-
ceeding the following rates, viz ; For every foot
passenger, five cents; for every horse and rider,
ten cents; for every carriage and two horses, thirty
cents; for every carriage or wagon with four horses
or four oxen, forty cents; for every carriage and
one horse, twenty cents; for every horse and cart,
twenty cents; for every horse, mule or ox, five
cents per head; for every sheep, calf, hog, etc.,
three cents per head; and the said bridge and
landing therefor is hereby declared to be subject to
the right of taking tolls as aforesaid, so long as
said bridge shall be kept in good repair and condi-
tion, and sustained a public highway.

Drawbridge.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Mutual
Building Association, in building said bridge,
shall have the same provided with a suitable and
proper drawbridge, of a width of not less than
twenty-four feet, so as to admit the full and free
egress and ingress of vessels to and from said
Creek.

Lease or dis-
pose.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Mutual
Building Association, its successors and assigns,
shall have full power and authority, if they think
proper, to lease, sell and dispose of said bridge or
right of landing to any person or persons, body
corporate or politic, who are hereby authorized to
purchase and hold the same, with all the privileges
and appendages to the same belonging, and the
purchaser or purchasers thereof, their heirs, suc-
cessors and assigns, shall be and are hereby au-
thorized and empowered to erect, build and keep
in repair the said bridge, and to ask, demand and
receive the like tolls as aforesaid for the passage of
said bridge, and in the same manner as if they
were severally named herein, and as fully and
effectually as if they were the present proprietors
thereof.
