CHAPTER 101.
AN ACT to amend the Act of January Session
eighteen hundred and sixty-five, chapter seventy,
entitled, "An Act to authorize the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad Company to build a Railroad from
a point on the line of its road within the State of
Maryland, between Knoxville and the Monocacy
Junction, through Frederick and Montgomery
Counties to the boundary of the District of Co-
lumbia, so as to make a direct connection with
the City of Washington," by amending and re-
enacting the fourth Section of said Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Fourth Section of the Act
of January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
five, chapter severity, entitled An Act to authorize
the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company to build
a Railroad from a point on the line of its road
within the State of Maryland, between Knoxville
and the Monocacy Junction, through Frederick
and Montgomery Counties, to the boundary of the
District of Columbia, so as to make a direct con-
nection with the City of Washington, be and the
same is hereby amended so that the same shall read
as follows:

Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That unless the said
Railroad, hereby authorized, shall be completed
with at least one set of tracks within eight years
from the twenty-first day of March, in the year
eighteen hundred and sixty-five, this Act shall be
void and of no effect, and the General Assembly
reserves to itself the right to alter, amend or repeal
this Act at its pleasure.

Sec. 3. Be it further enacted, That this Act and
the Amendment, and the re-enactment of the Sec-
tion aforesaid made by this Act, shall take effect
from the day of its passage.
