CHAPTER 22.
AN ACT granting the assent of the General As-
sembly of Maryland to a bequest of a legacy
made in the last will and testament of Josias
Ramsay, late of Cecil County, deceased, to the
trustees of the Methodist Protestant Church at
New Leeds, in Cecil County:
WHEREAS, Josias Ramsay, late of Cscil County,
deceased, by his last will and testament bequeathed
to the trustees of the Methodist Protestant Church,
at New Leeds, in Cecil County, two-thirds of the
net proceeds of his estate, to be paid them after
the death of his wife, Martha Ramsay; there-
fore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That assent is hereby given to carry
into effect the bequest in the last will and testa-
ment of Josias Ramsay, late of Cecil County, de-
ceased, in favor of the trustees of the Methodist
Protestant Church, at New Leeds, in Cecil County.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That the said Trustees he
and they are hereby empowered to receive from the
executors of the deceased such sum of money as
may be agreed upon between the said Trustees of
the Methodist Protestant Church at New Leeds,
aforesaid, and the legatees in the will of the said
Josias Ramsay, deceased, in full payment and sat-
isfaction of said legacy, and that their release to
said executors, after the payment of said sum
agreed upon shall be a full release of said legacy.

Sec. 3. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
