Mr. Colton, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably a bill entitled an Act to refund to John R.
Robertson, late Sheriff of Charles county, the sum of forty-
nine dollars and fourteen cents, being interest upon the bal-
ance of his account as adjusted by the Comptroller, September
30, 1869, under Act of 1868, chapter 210.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sums of money
therein mentioned to pay the claims of the State Reporter and
J. Murphy & Co.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Loker, Chairman of the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries, reported the bill entitled an Act for
the protection of fish in the tributaries of the Potomac river,
lying in St. Mary's county, and to regulate the time and
manner of catching and taking fish in that portion of the
Potomac river between Cobb Point, in Charles county, and
Point Lookout, in St. Mary's county, with proposed amend-
ments

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Add a new section to be substituted for section 2, And be
it enacted, that it shall not be lawful for any person or per-
sons except bona fide residents of Saint Mary's county, to
take and catch Terrapins in the waters or tributaries of the
Potomac river, lying in said county.

Change sections 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, so as to read 3, 4, 5, 6
and 7.

Add to section 6, the following :

And in all cases arising under this Act, an appeal shall be-
made to the Circuit Court for Saint Mary's county, subject to-
the same laws and rules that govern in other cases of appeal
from the decisions of Justices of the Peace.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional clause to sec-
tion 29, Article 10, of Public General Laws, entitled ''Attach-
ments."

The question recurring upon the adoption of the report,
