Mr. Colton submitted the following order:

Ordered, That S. S. Sudler, Clerk to the Committee on
Claims, have leave of absence until Wednesday morning
next.

Mr. Neill submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Hon.
John Murdock is absent from his seat on account of sickness.

Mr. Shipley submitted the following order :

Ordered, That leave of absence be granted E. S W.

Ordered, That the Baltimore county delegation have leave
of absence on to-morrow, Friday, February 4th.

On motion of Mr. Brattan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report an Act supplementary to an Act entitled " An Act to
aid and encourage enlistments into the Maryland Regiments
in the service of the United States," passed at January session,
1864, chapter 15, and the several amendments and supple-
ments thereto, and to repeal section 9 of the Act of 1868,
chapter 235.

On motion of Mr. Biddle,

Leave was granted to the Cecil county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to prevent swine from running at large in the
first district of Cecil county.

On motion of Mr. Markland,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to regulate certain contracts for the purchase
or sale of real or leasehold estate, or of any interest therein,
or for the procurement of money or other valuable security
upon mortgage to be in writing.
